Webinar Description:

UCR: The Unified Carrier Registration Program Webinar

The Unified Carrier Registration (UCR) program:  It’s not fuel tax and it’s not vehicle registration, but motor carriers – and many other transportation businesses – still have to pay UCR fees.  Join ATA’s webinar on October 31 to find out more about UCR – in particular, how to comply! Annual registration for 2018 for UCR begins on November 1 this year.  So this webinar on UCR is very timely – and it’s authoritative!  The presenter is Bob Pitcher, who in addition to being ATA’s Vice President, State Laws, also serves as the Vice Chairman of the UCR Board of Directors.

During the UCR webinar attendees will:

·         Get an overview of the UCR program,

·         Learn why the UCR fees for next year are nearly 10% LOWER than they have been,

·         Learn some of the “tricky” parts of UCR:  what vehicles count towards a motor carrier’s fee, and what sorts of specialized carrier operations fall inside UCR – or outside it.

·         Gain insight on how the UCR states are enhancing their enforcement of the UCR program.
