Data breaches are a common occurrence globally, causing economic damage to businesses ranging from small to large – ransomware attacks are costing trucking companies thousands to hundreds of thousands of dollars in lost productivity and data costs. As the trucking industry embraces the digital age, fleets are becoming more connected and prone to cyber-attacks. Johnny Lee from national CPA and advisory firm, Grant Thornton, will explain the cyber threat landscape, common threats and vulnerabilities, and mitigation strategies emphasized by cybersecurity recommended practices.

About the Presenter:

Johnny Lee is a Principal and the national practice leader for the Forensic Technology practice of Grant Thornton LLP’s Forensic and Advisory Services. A management and litigation consultant and former attorney, he specializes in forensic investigations, data breaches, complex data analytics, computer forensics, and electronic discovery in support of investigations and civil litigation. He also provides advisory services to organizations working to address complex CyberSecurity and Data Privacy issues.

Prior to joining Grant Thornton, Johnny served in various executive roles for global consulting firms, and he also served in the District Attorney’s Office in Atlanta, GA. He is a frequent speaker, panelist, and author on various topics across involving CyberSecurity, Information Privacy, Data Analytics, eDiscovery, Computer Forensics, Information Governance, Business Intelligence, and the effective use (and risk management) of Information Technology.

Johnny received his Juris Doctorate from the Georgia State University College of Law and his Bachelor’s degree from Emory University. In 2000, he was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia, where he maintains an active law license.
