This year marked the first year that carriers had to file tax returns under the new rules put into place by The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA). This webinar will include an overview of the more notable changes stemming from the TCJA, including the §163(j) limitation on deductions for business interest, the §199A qualified business income deduction, cross border taxation, new rules on 1031 exchanges and more.

The second half of this webinar will provide an opportunity for participants to participate in the NAFC Taxation Forum. Participants can ask their tax questions of the presenters and share their own lessons learned with their peers. Taxation Chair Randolph Smith and Vice Chair Eric Grant will lead a discussion of relevant topics of concern within taxation. The NAFC Taxation Forum is a group within the National Accounting & Finance Council which addresses a wide range of federal and state tax issues.
