Technology Engineering Policy Committee

Mission

The Technology Engineering Policy Committee explores how technology can be used to improve highway safety, productivity, fleet operations and vehicle efficiencies. ATA's TEPC develops policy on issues regarding commercial vehicle equipment, information technology, intelligent transportation systems and related topics. The Committee oversees the efforts of ATA staff in these areas as they respond to federal government legislation, rulemakings and related actions.

TEPC Support

ATA Technical Advisory Group (TAG)

ATA's explicit fleet member group who cover technical issues through stakeholder involvement that concern or enlighten industry concepts that may assess regulatory actions. The TAG advises TEPC on policy guidance, ATA's Councils on best practices and programs, and ATA staff in collaborating technical activities and providing insight to industry activities.

ATA Technology & Maintenance Council (TMC)

ATA's technical council and industry leading best practice development organization for improving commercial vehicle equipment, fleet management, and maintainability/ sustainable operations.

ATA Automated Truck Subcommittee (ATSub)

ATA's advanced technology member subcommittee who lead truck automation and connectivity challenges for policy recommendation and regulatory actions at the state and federal government levels.
