Webinar Description:
This webinar will educate ATA members on how to navigate the Consolidated Chassis Management (CCM) website to request the chassis of their choice. Many chassis leasing companies do not give motor carriers a choice in what chassis they must use. In many ports, the ability to obtain a different chassis than the one that is offered does exist, but it must be requested. The speakers will walk participants through this process and offer insight on how to make informed choices on the chassis they choose.
Topics to be addressed include:
- How to navigate the CCM website
- How to exercise choice for lines allowing it on the CCM portal
- Strategy for requesting steamship lines that don't show in the CCM pools
- Insight on the North American Chassis Pool Cooperative (NACPC)
About the Presenters:
David Manning, ATA Immediate Past Chairman; President, TCW Inc.
Dave is President of TCW based in Nashville, TN. TCW was founded in 1948 as a small family-owned warehousing business serving the finished tobacco industry. After joining TCW in 1985, Dave was instrumental in leading the growth of the company from a single terminal to a diversified transportation enterprise with more than 650 employees and revenue in excess of $100 million. Today TCW offers a network of diversified transportation services throughout the southeast. Dave has served in many roles in the Tennessee Trucking Association, the American Trucking Association, and the Intermodal Association of North America (IANA). He currently serves as Immediate Past Chairman of ATA, and co-chair of the Truck PAC for TTA. He also has served for more than a decade as a member on the nine-member Committee which administers the Uniform Intermodal Interchange Agreement; the standard interchange agreement for the intermodal industry. Dave as the CEO and President of the newly formed North American Chassis Pool Cooperative.
Mark George, IMCC Second Vice Chairman; Chairman, Intermodal Cartage Co, Inc.
Mr. Mark H. George served as Chief Executive Officer and President of Intermodal Cartage Co., Inc. Mr. George started Intermodal Cartage in 1982 with one truck and one driver. Since then, he has focused his career entirely on international shipments. Mr. George currently serves as Chairman of IMC Companies LLC. He serves as Vice Chairman and is one of 11 founding members of the North American Chassis Pool Cooperative (NACPC). He serves on the American Trucking Association Intermodal Motor Carrier's Board of Directors, the Memphis World Trade Club advisory board and Agape Child and Family Services' Directors Council.
