Harvey Relief Efforts

As the aftermath of Hurricanes Harvey and Irma continue to wreak havoc throughout Texas, Louisiana and Florida, our thoughts and prayers go out to all those displaced or impacted by the flooding and damage. These historic storms have been nothing shy of catastrophic. Relief efforts continue and will for some time. Reconstruction is being planned and in some areas well underway.

The trucking industry is answering the call to be sure everyone affected has everything from food, water, blankets, clothing, medicine to materials for rebuilding their cities, towns and homes. Our state association partners are working closely with their local officials and many of those not affected have organized relief drives.

ATA is supporting TTA and LMTA as well as the American Logistics Aid Network (ALAN) during this ongoing effort.

We encourage you to visit ALAN’s website (http://alanaid.org/) if you have any questions or would like to make donations.   ALAN is posting road conditions on an hourly basis and is working closely with FEMA and local, state and national levels of government to ensure we are as efficient as possible in aiding the relief efforts.
