ATA, Omnitracs Renew ATA Featured Product Agreement

Arlington, Va. – Today, American Trucking Associations announced that Omnitracs, a leading industry provider of fleet management solutions, is once again a participant in ATA’s Featured Product Provider program.

“ATA and the greater trucking industry rely on the supplier community to offer top-notch solutions in order to insure compliance, enhance safety and improve efficiency,” said ATA President and CEO Chris Spear. “We are excited that companies, including Omnitracs, continue to advance our industry and thankful for their support in providing electronic logging devices for each of our trucks and a CEV camera for Interstate One.”

As supporters of ATA’s Interstate One Image Trailer and ATA’s Share the Road highway safety program, Omnitracs provides electronic logging devices for both of ATA’s touring tractor-trailers. Omnitracs also educates America’s Road Team Captains and Share the Road professional truck drivers on how to properly operate the system and explain electronic logging devices to the motoring public, elected officials and members of the media. The addition of Omnitracs’ Critical Event Camera to ATA’s Interstate One Image Truck will also allow America’s Road Team Captains to explain training procedures and the effectiveness of video recording devices to the public.

“We are pleased to once again partner with our friends at the American Trucking Associations. Their ongoing dedication to providing a platform that promotes advocacy, education, safety and responsibility continues to pave the way for greater understanding and acceptance of the essential role that the trucking industry plays in the economy,” said Omnitracs CEO John Graham. “Our continued support of the Featured Product and Share the Road Programs further solidifies our dedication to the advancement of those initiatives coupled with the commitment to provide best-in-class technology products and services to the thousands of fleets and owner/operators across America.”

Omnitracs is offering three featured product solutions that help fleets reduce cost, operate more efficiently, maintain compliance, and increase productivity and safety. Offering hands-free voice interface, new message notifications, connectivity via Bluetooth as well as Wi-Fi and terrestrial web browsing, the Omnitracs Intelligent Vehicle Gateway (IVG) platform is a next generation in-cab telematics solution designed to support the Omnitracs suite of applications. The Omnitracs XRS mobile platform runs on more than 50 types of mobile devices and easily connects a truck engine through the diagnostics port that transmits vehicle and operator data directly to a management dashboard. New to the offering this year for both the IVG and XRS platforms is the Omnitracs Critical Event Video (CEV), which is a fully integrated in-cab video solution with one- or two-way camera configurations with highly customizable recording options plus viewing and editing tools.
