ATA President Outlines Vision for Trucking, Federation

In his first State of the Industry Address, American Trucking Associations President and CEO Chris Spear made a case for industry unity and called on ATA to move forward and lead on a host of issues, ranging from autonomous vehicle technology to funding the nation’s infrastructure, despite gridlock and other challenges facing the industry.

Incoming ATA Chairman Touts Need for Highway Investment

Sam Graves, chairman of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee’s Subcommittee on Highways and Transit, Kevin Burch, president of Jet Express Inc., Dayton, Ohio, and incoming chairman of the American Trucking Associations, emphasized the important role of well-maintained infrastructure to the trucking industry.

Today, American Trucking Associations released the latest edition of the leading almanac of trucking – ATA American Trucking Trends 2016 – showing the industry posted gains in employment, number of truck drivers and truck sales through 2015.
