ATA Launches Federal Update

For several years, ATA has published a Legislative Update that focused on Congress' weekly actions. As we developed the Alliance for Trucking Advocacy grassroots program, however, we found that the Legislative Update didn't accomplish our goals.

So we’ve changed it. Our new ATA Federal Update will be published bi-weekly via email and combines all of the best elements of our previous publication. In addition, its expanded coverage will tell you what the current issues are before Congress, the White House, the federal regulatory agencies and the courts. The Federal Update goes one step further though, relating not only what the issues are, but why they matter to ATA members.

Your time is valuable, so the ATA Federal Update will quickly tell you what you need to know, with an easy to see listing of the top issues of the past two weeks. As an ATA member, you will automatically begin to receive this publication via email every two weeks. ATA Member Speaks Before House Panel On Congestion

ATA Member David Manning Testifies About 'Roadability'

ATA member David Manning, president of TCW/Tennessee Express, Inc., testified Tuesday before the House Subcommittee on Highways and Transit. Manning outlined the concerns ATA has regarding the safety issues in intermodal transportation, specifically dealing with "equipment roadability."
