ATA Announces TMC’s Fleet Data Management and Cybersecurity Conference

Arlington, Va. – Today, American Trucking Associations announced its Technology & Maintenance Council is hosting TMC’s Fleet Data Management and Cybersecurity Conference, a new event to address best practices in fleet data management and cybersecurity. Attendees will learn how to extract more business value from the data that fleets collect to make cost reporting and operations more efficient. The Conference will have a special focus on leveraging the power of the Council’s Vehicle Maintenance Reporting Standards as well as new breakdown maintenance benchmarking services available through a joint project with FleetNet America.

New Survey Data Reveals Increases in Driver Compensation

Lawmakers Introduce DRIVE Safe Act

WASHINGTON, DC— Reps. Duncan Hunter (R-Calif.) and Trey Hollingsworth (R-Ind.), with support from the International Foodservice Distributors Association and the American Trucking Associations, today introduced the DRIVE Safe Act, critical legislation that addresses the massive driver shortage affecting the movement of commerce in our country, while also promoting enhanced safety training for emerging members of this growing workforce.

ATA Truck Tonnage Index Decreased 2.6 Percent in February

Arlington, Va. — American Trucking Associations’ advanced seasonally adjusted (SA) For-Hire Truck Tonnage Index declined 2.6% in February after rising 1.6% in January. In February, the index equaled 109.2 (2015=100), down from 112.1 in January.
