Dunbar Armored’s Doug White Named TMC General Chairman

Today, American Trucking Associations’ Technology & Maintenance Council announced that Doug White, vice president of maintenance of Dunbar Armored, Hunt Valley, Md., has been elected 2016-2017 general chairman and treasurer of American Trucking Associations’ Technology & Maintenance Council during TMC’s 2016 Annual Meeting.


TMC Opens Doors on Annual Meeting and Exhibition

Today, American Trucking Associations’ Technology & Maintenance Council opened the doors on one of the organization’s largest exhibit halls ever as part of the 2016 TMC Annual Meeting & Transportation Technology Exhibition.





ATA Opposes FMCSA’s Proposed Certification Label Rule

On Aug 3 ATA filed written comments to FMCSA’s proposed rulemaking addressing missing Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards certification labels for commercial motor vehicles operated by U.S.–domiciled motor carriers. ATA informed FMCSA that it adamantly opposes the implementation of this proposed CMV certification label rule for several reasons.




ATA Files V2V Comments

On Oct. 20, ATA filed comments with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration on its Advanced Notice of Proposed Rulemaking regarding Vehicle-to-Vehicle Communications for light vehicles. ATA supported a dedicated 5.9GHZ frequency band for the connected vehicle program and highway safety, and also supported minimum performance requirements for DSRC devices and GPS.
