New Overtime Rule Changes, an ATA webinar sponsored by ACT 1

Please register for this recorded ATA webinar.

Webinar Description:

On December 1, 2016, new rules go into effect governing the so-called "white collar" exemption to the overtime requirements of the federal Fair Labor Standards Act, and employers nationwide need to be prepared. While the "motor carrier" exemption covering safety-regulated employees has not changed, the exempt status of many back-office trucking company employees may need to be reevaluated.

In this webinar, the ATA Legal team will give background on the rule and Eddie Wayland, a partner at the law firm of King & Ballow in Nashville, Tennessee and who advises a number of motor carriers on labor issues, will explain the new rule changes, and discuss compliance strategies for employers in the trucking industry.

In addition, the webinar will address aspects of the rule that haven't changed, but which can present particular challenges for motor carriers.
