ATA Webinar - The Unified Carrier Registration (UCR) Program - An Update

Please register for this recorded ATA webinar.

Webinar Description:

Registration in 2019 for the Unified Carrier Registration (UCR) Program is scheduled to open on October 1, 2018. This webinar will provide both an introduction to UCR for those who may be unfamiliar with it, and an update on some important changes to the program. The UCR Program requires individuals and companies that operate commercial motor vehicles in interstate or international commerce to register their business with a participating state and pay an annual fee based on the size of their fleet. This includes ALL carriers - private, exempt, or for hire. There’s vehicle registration, there’s licensing for fuel tax reporting, and then there’s UCR. Any motor carrier or third party who is involved in making an interstate carrier legal to operate should attend this webinar.

During this webinar, attendees will:

  • Get an overview of the UCR program,
  • Find out how much lower next year’s UCR fees may be,
  • Find out whether this year’s, as opposed to last year’s, UCR registration will start on time, and,
  • Get an introduction to new, official guidance to UCR that has been issued by the UCR Board during 2018

Our presenter, Bob Pitcher, will also explain how these issues have the potential to loom larger still as Congress is working to enact an infrastructure bill later this year.
