Byron Bramwell has been a professional truck driver for 34 years and has accumulated over 2.2 million accident free miles. He is a city driver for YRC Freight.
Acting with ambitions of disseminating the message of highway safety, increasing visibility of the trucking industry and emphasizing the essentiality of trucking, America’s Road Team captains act as goodwill ambassadors nationwide. While they dedicate time each month to America’s Road Team specific events, captains always hold themselves to the highest standards of representing this honorable industry in their daily lives.
Byron has participated in 23 consecutive years of truck driving championships, winning 2010 Missouri Grand Champion, 2011 Grand Champion Runner-up, and 1st place pre-trip inspection in Kansas in 2003. He appeared at the National Truck Driving Championships in 2000, 2010 and 2011. Byron is also a driver trainer and a certified Smith System instructor. He was a member of the Kansas State Road Team in 2001-2002 and is a member of the YRC Road Team. He has received his 34 year Safe Worker Award.
Byron lives with his wife, Jeanne, in Centerview, Missouri. They have 3 children and 3 grandchildren
